About a year ago, the Maloof's, owners of Palms, ran into financial trouble and had to sell much of their interest in their casino. This actually has a negative impact on NBA bettors. Since the Maloof's also own the Sacramento Kings, we've never been able to bet on their games at Palms. Now, that TPG Capital owns 49% of the casino, along with a large part of Caesars Entertainment, we can no longer bet Boston Celtics games at Palms. Outside sportsbook management doesn't impact this rule by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
This is kind of a big deal for NBA bettors like this writer since it removes up to four teams from a night with a full NBA schedule. The good news is that you can run across the street to the Gold Coast if you want to bet on the Kings, Celtics or either of their opponents.
