Just when Hakkasan should be making its debut, another MGM Grand nightclub may be closing its doors.

VegasChatter fan @JWeaverPF tweeted us his dismay over the weekend upon learning the fate of Tabu Ultra Lounge:

@JWeaverPF says he heard Tabu's last call will take place in April 2013.

News of the impending closure isn't too surprising with the resort's planned Grand Renovation that's already brought new rooms and casino carpet, shut down the Lion Habitat, Studio 54, Crazy Horse Paris and Seablue, and will add that five-story nightclub-slash-restaurant mentioned above in early to mid 2013.

It's not clear if Tabu's closure will bring a reboot of the lounge or a whole new concept to the space. We reached out to MGM executives for comment. They tell us there's no official word to share at this time.
