Magic, Delays, Reality TV And Theatrical Musical Chairs

We were the first to tell you about the new Boulevard Theater opening on The Strip. And, we've been checking back to see when their roster of talent would be packing them in.

We see that Barbra and Frank: The Concert That Never Was, the Sinatra and Streisand tribute show is up and running. But, magician Tommy Wind's debut has now been delayed until November 23, according to the theater's website. With two shows a night, that's quite a void for a few weeks. Tommy Wind was previously performing at the Clarion, but we heard rumors he was very eager for a show on The Strip. And, we think we've discovered why.

A magician's web site, iTricks.com, has news of his family shopping around a reality show concept, titled Staten Island on the Strip. It follows his family adjusting from east coast to Las Vegas life. No word on whether a cable TV network has taken the bait and picked up the show. We're going to bet some magic sneaks it's way into the plot.

Wind is actually no newcomer to The Strip. Back in 2009, Tommy was almost the headliner of his own show at the Palazzo. No mean feat, as the young magi was only 19 years old at the time.

So, who has taken over from Wind at the Clarion's Wolf Theater? Seth Grabel. Who we reviewed back in March when his show was at the Royal House. Think of it as the the magic world equivalent of the circle of life.
