Excalibur's New Food Court Is Really Quite Nice (For A Food Court)

Excalibur's new and improved food court is just over a week old. If not, all the way complete. But, we don't care because it's a billion times better. Seriously. And, still so sparkling clean you could eat off the tables and the floors. Although, we'd definitely advise against that.

Dubbed Castle Walk, Excalibur boasts that it now has the largest food court on The Strip, spanning 28,000 square feet. Ordinarily, we'd also advise against bragging about that, but this is now one of the best places to chow in Excalibur. Outside of this, there's the buffet, Buca Di Beppo, Dick's Last Resort, The Steakhouse at Camelot, Baja Fresh and American Burger Works (if it continues to stay open). Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ is still closed, now entombed in a blank construction wall, although, the lights (strangely) are still on.

So, yeah, we're still sticking with 'one of the best.' But, we digress. Back upstairs in the shiny new food court, visitors will now find glossy concrete floors (instead of cobblestone-esque), primarily padded booths for seating (instead of uncomfortable iron bistro sets), and the addition of several new brands, including some that hadn't (surprisingly) yet made it to The Strip. Among them The new venues are...

Cinnabon.

Hot Dog On A Stick.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

Pick Up Stix.

Big Chill.

And, a 24/7 Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

They're joined by a few brands that have been there for a while -- Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Auntie Anne's, Krispy Kreme, Popcornopolis, and Starbucks. The first two, ending up with the short end of the remodel stick for now. Stuck in cobblestone and bistro land.

Yogurtland and Schlotzsky's are still to come. For now, draped in tacky shiny black plastic. Expect them early next year.

Gone are Manchu Wok, Quizno's and Coldstone.

Vegas aficionados will recall that the area where the new food court now sits used to be occupied by Excalibur's Sir Galahad's steakhouse.

One correction to the article.....

There's a Cinnabon at Casino Royale, so the location at Excalibur is not the first on The Strip.

Ha!

I was afraid someone would say that. I tried to make it clear that not all the ones I was listing were new-to-the-Strip. Should have just went with my gut!

MMMM....

Crapolicious!!!!!!!!!!  I'll take a side of diabetes with that please, oh yeah and a diet coke.

JR..it's better than crap!

We have not had much luck dining at the Ex. so we like the fast food places. We also like CLEAN and as you pointed out, that shiny new floor and those shiny new joints look clean.
