SXSW Coming To Las Vegas

SXSW is a music, film and interactive conference and expo in Austin, Texas. SXSW started out as a festival focused on independent musicians, but has grown to include other interesting segments of the entertainment world. An offshoot of SXSW called SXSWV2V will take place in Las Vegas next year.

There has been a tech scene bubbling under the mainstream in Las Vegas for the past few years and it seems as if SXSW V2V will be the coming out party. SXSW V2V calls itself "an extension and re-imagining" of SXSW with an "emphasis on the creative spark that drives entrepreneurial innovation."

This four day event brings the startup and venture capital communities together with the creative industries that have helped to make SXSW so special. V2V serves innovators and entrepreneurs from across all the industries at the core of the SXSW Family of events - technology, music, film, fashion, health, education, sustainability, and more - as they learn the skills, make the connections, and find the inspiration to take their ideas and talents to the next level.

While most Las Vegas tech and startup events happen downtown, this event will take place at a more fancy location. SXSW will run Sunday, August 11 through Wednesday August 14, 2013 at The Cosmopolitan. Maybe, the Cosmo will even re-connect their previously free WiFi for the tech-minded conference.
