5X Points This Month At Boyd Casinos

Boyd Gaming is one of the more overlooked casino hotel companies in Las Vegas because their properties are seen as locals joints. This should not be the case, especially for the low rolling gamblers. Our B Connected app tells us that, this month, Boyd Gaming is offering 5X players club points on machines at any of their Las Vegas properties.

While Boyd Gaming properties aren't on The Strip, you can get affordable rooms just off Las Vegas Boulevard at Gold Coast or The Orleans and downtown at Main Street Station and Fremont Casino. There are other Boyd Gaming properties in Las Vegas, but those are our favorites because of location as well as gambling, eating and drinking options. Boyd Gaming also has properties all over the country so you can earn and use points in places outside of Vegas.

Playing for comps is not usually a smart gaming strategy, but playing where you can maximize your comps is. This writer is using the monthly specials (there are more if you have a B Connected account) as an excuse to use Main Street Station as a crash pad. Why not use players club discounts, multipliers and freebies when they're offered?

Love me some Boyd Properties

I live on the east coast and when I go to Atlantic City, I only play at the Caesars (I still call them Harrahs properties).  But when I come to Vegas, I only play and stay at the Boyd properties.  I'm not a big fan of staying on the strip and with Boyd they have great amenities, hotel choices and gambling.  I typically stay at Gold Coast or the Orleans.  Love, love, love it.  I wish they had Boyd properties on the east coast but they don't....ok...so yeah the Borgata is one, but they don't participate in the B Connected program.   When I tell my friends about the Boyd properties, they didn't realize they were so close to the strip and when I tell them that what I pay for a hotel room at one of those properties comparitively to what it would cost to stay on the strip, their jaws drop.
