Never by actual foresighted design, we've been to the Zebra Lounge a number of times and it's often great people watching. It seems packed, but there is a steady turnover of seats. Many visitors get very into the music. Really into it. Sometimes, it becomes a better show than the one on stage.
The resident cover band, The Peter Monroy Band, normally rocks the joint. Their website even loads with a music clip that sound exactly as they do on stage, a version of Guns N' Roses, "Sweet Child O' Mine." They also like to do Metallica's "Enter Sandman" during their sets. A long version. Really long, like, is the original really this long, long? Folks love it. Peter Monroy is so hard rockin' they even created and named a cocktail for him at the lounge. It's created with Maker’s Mark, Cointreau, lemon juice and honey. Maybe, the honey is medicinal.
We actually briefly met Michael Grimm at the Pinkberry launch and he seemed a very nice chap, so we hate to pass any judgement on his musical chops and material. So, here's an idea of what we imagine he'll be performing. And, if that's too down tempo, remember the Bourbon Room is just across the casino floor.
Michael Grimm will perform at Zebra Room at the Palazzo. Scheduled times are 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
