Cathouse Is Out At Luxor, Another Resto To Follow At Mirage

You know that restaurant-slash-nightspot that became just a nightspot that became a 'is that even open still' after thought? Yeah, that's closed now at Luxor.

Cathouse shuttered on Monday, November 5, but even hotel execs couldn't work up the desire to let us know that the place we'd already thought was closed was gone until today.

On the going, going, not quite gone front, B.B. King's at The Mirage will also reportedly close soon. Vegas Inc says the joint will close this Sunday, November 11 due to on-going financial problems.

Too many nightclubs

They keep building restaurants, bars and nightspots out into the walkways (Fremont Street outdoor bars and Diablo's at Monte Carlo), at formerly grassy areas (Rhumbar at Mirage, Encore Beach Club over the former Encore porte cochere, and Carlos & Charlies in Flamingo's once-lovely courtyard), above filled-in water spots (BLT Burger over the tiger pool at Mirage and Gilley's at T.I.), at the MGM Lion Habitat, and hanging off the edges of buildings, until every square inch of Vegas is covered with them and you barely have room enough to walk from destination A to destination B.
