Recently, we shared our first impressions of downtown's newly opened Backstage Bar & Billiards, or Triple B. We loved it, but know what you really want to find out -- how much.

Now, we have those details to share with you. The pool bar, located at Sixth and Fremont, charges guests $10 bucks an hour to rack them up. And, when you've worked up a thirst, here's what the good stuff will run you:

Domestics $5 (Bottles or Drafts)
Imports $6 (Bottles or Drafts)
Current Special: Sam Adams, $3 bottles

Cocktails

Premium Brands $10

Compare that to beers that begin around $7 bucks across the street at the also newly opened Commonwealth and cocktails that range between $8-$10. We consulted our downtown beer connoisseur, East Coast Gambler, who told us most beers downtown go for around $4-$5 bucks with fancier bottles pricing between $6-8. Some $2 to $4 bottles also can be found.

Both Commonwealth and Triple B are located in the quickly evolving Fremont East section of downtown, just past the Fremont Street Experience canopy. Park on Fremont is rumored to open on New Year's Eve.

Triple B is open daily from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Can't wait to check some of these places out. A buddy of mine that was out there a few weeks ago said that Insert Coins was closed the whole week. Did they close for good or was it a temporary thing?

Looks like it was only temporary. They're posting on Facebook again after a slight lull.

With drink prices like that I don't see myself going there. Four dollars for a PBR? A half barrel goes for seventy bucks.

I think the prices here are really reasonable, compared to other places on Fremont East (and especially compared to The Strip). I've commented here before and it's my new favorite Downtown and the coolest place to hang out, drink & play pool. $5 each for 2 people to play an hour's worth of pool is a great price for entertainment. And $4 for a PBR isn't bad, either. I went over the weekend & they had an outstanding live band, too!
