This New Year's Eve, you may want to think about celebrating at Terrible's. And, no, we're not joking.

Terrible's is hosting its second annual Rock the Rooftop New Year's Eve 'soiree' on December 31. We didn't know about the first, but when we heard about this one, we were a bit skeptical of the view. Until we saw the photos. From the views shown above and below, you can see that Terrible's actually offers a pretty terrific view of the Las Vegas Strip skyline, and the fireworks display set to ring in the New Year.

While it's true that Terrible's is off the Strip, you'll also enjoy the off the Strip pricing of $99 for this NYE bash. That'll get you "endless appetizers and an open bar" from 10 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. A U2 cover band will provide live jams. Compare that to NYE parties on the Strip that will run you hundreds, if not thousands if you choose to spring for bottle service.

NYE Secrets

Many locals know that there are a few "secret spots" with solid views of The Strip fireworks. Another popular locals casino option is the top of Palace Station parking garage.

A couple of years ago I was sick and staying home for NYE, but at the last few minutes pointed the car over there. 10 minute to midnight, I found no problem parking on the next-to-last floor of the garage. They had the top floor closed off and while no formal party, hosted a nice collection of revelers who enjoyed the show.

I don't know how it is on NYE (as far as ease of access), but the Hard Rock garage (the new one) also offers a great view of the Strip as well.

Vegas Weather

I've been on the Strip in brutal winds and in (seemingly) endless rain on New Year's Eve. And, yes, outside in the elements. Some people, ahem, will do just about anything in the name of fun. :)
