Meanwhile, The Cosmopolitan was named The World's Best Hotel by the new social travel website, Gogobot .The Gogobot Travelers' Favorite Awards were compiled entirely by Gogobot users -- 2.5 million people who've traveled to 60,000 destinations.
We've no doubt that Bellagio and Cosmopolitan are top stops on The Strip, but judging from the sources of these awards -- one, a travel guide book company that is used mostly by an older audience, and the other, a newfangled social media website -- it's clear that they are the best hotels for two different types of people. Sigh. Until the next batch of awards come out.... Which has actually already happened. Earlier today, Aria, MGM Grand, and Bellagio bragged about being among the "top 10 most popular U.S. hotel brands on Facebook." Where's the dislike button again?
