We reviewed Divas back in July as Marino celebrated over 200,000 Las Vegas performances. Further adding to the line-up shuffle, a male performer will diva-ing as Adele. We were recently surprised that Adele had enough name and song recognition to feature in that other Strip impersonator show, Legends in Concert, but we guess they were ahead of a trend. Probably time for someone to think of bringing the real version to Vegas for an extended stay. Caesars, we'll take our standard 10% bright idea fee for that notion.
We tried to find a clip of Andrew Ryan's Shania-isms, but could only find footage of him as Katy Perry. We assume the diva quotient is of equal magnitude.
And in real Shania news, she recently finished the first round of gigs of her Caesars Palace residency. We weren't blow away. But, for the true fans, this is a perfect career summation with touches of pure Vegas extravagance. Real horses! The next round of dates have been announced and tickets are now available for concerts beginning March 13. We're really curious if Caesars will dare to push the two Shania's together at some point. A diva-off! We'll not hold our breath, but we will keep you posted.
Divas Las Vegas runs daily at 10 p.m., except Fridays, at the Quad. Prices range from $39 -$79 (plus tax & fees).
