Imperial Palace Less Imperial, Soon To Be Minus Palace, Too

While Caesars Entertainment has designated December 21 as the official day Imperial Palace ceases to exist and we all begin streaking through calling it The Quad, the change has already happened on the hotel-casino's social media accounts. Now, the next step is underway.
On Tuesday afternoon, the IP began losing its identity as, letter by letter, its name slowly began coming down from atop the property. As of 8:30 p.m. PST, a semi-darkened 'rial Palace remained.

You don't have to be on The Strip, however, to witness this bit of Vegas history unfold. Don't forget that there's a live webcam focused on the neighboring Linq project, and its scope includes the Imperial Palace. View IP's last moments, and its transformation into The Quad, here.
