Uno, Dos, Tres, How Many Mexican Joints Can One City Have?

March 13, 2012 at 6:18 PM | by | Comment (1)

When the door to Dos Caminos closed last fall, we needn't have been so devastated because there's a ton of new Mexican restaurants in the works for Las Vegas. Ok, maybe not a ton but here's a look at the upcoming Mexican joints that will be open by this summer:

· Javier's: Opening at Aria this summer

· Velvet Margarita: Opening at Binion's this summer

· Carlos n' Charlie's: Opening at The Flamingo this April

· Senor Frog's: Opening at Treasure Island in April, too.

Now don't get us wrong. We love American Mexican food just as much as the next gringo, but when you add these four to the already existing Mexican restaurants in Vegas, of which there are about 38 according to Yelp, that's a whole lot of chips and guac if you get our margarita-scented drift.

Then again, it could be worse. Bad English, Cutting Crew, White Snake and Def Leppard could all be opening restaurants here, too.
