Punk Rock Bowling Returns To Vegas

April 12, 2012 at 3:38 PM | by | Comments (2)

We've heard about Punk Rock Bowling for a few years, but our Vegas trips never crossed paths with the event so we've never attended. That will change this year. The name doesn't do justice to what Punk Rock Bowling actually is, because there are a slew of punk rock concerts that go along with the bowling.

The Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival was started in 1999 as a way to bring the independent music community together for an annual party. From a simple idea it's grown into a three-day festival based mostly downtown that brings out punk rock fans and bands from all over the world.

Punk Rock Bowling was started by Shawn and Mark Stern of BYO Records and seminal California punk rock band, Youth Brigade. The bowling portion of Punk Rock Bowling takes place May 26-27 away from downtown at Sam's Town and Gold Coast while the concerts will be held downtown between May 25-28.

Only the outdoor festival has been announced with NOFX, Rancid and Pennywise headlining their respective days. Club shows will be announced shortly. Single day music festival passes are $42.50 and full festival passes are $105. Passes include service fees.

For more information you can head to Punk Rock Bowling.com. You can also get specific bowling registration info and full band lineups there, too.
