You don't know how hard it was for us not to make a meme here...

Does The Strip really need another candy shop? Apparently, yes, yes it does.

The Venetian is welcoming IT'SUGAR this week and it's being billed as the largest candy store in Vegas. (Oh, snap, Sugar Factory.)

While a competitor brings all the candy addicts to the yard with celebrity appearances, IT'SUGAR will appeal more to the Willy Wonka lovers in us all. (Even, during a media preview later this week, featuring Oompa Loompas. Yes, Oompa Loompas. And, yes, we will be there. How could we not?) That's because IT'SUGAR is owned by WONKA. As in WONKA candy. You know, Nerds, Laffy Taffy, SweeTARTS, Fun Dip, and more. (Yes, there really is Wonka candy. Are we about to have a Titanic moment?)

To continue along the ours is bigger than yours theme, the more than 5,000-square-foot candy shop will also offer "the world’s largest boxes of Nerds, Laffy Taffy, SweeTARTS, and Gobstoppers." Just because, you know, it can.

Sate your sweet tooth starting this Thursday, April 19. IT'SUGAR will be located in the Grand Canal Shoppes near TAO.

Do we really need yard long drinks? free booze non stop? well, if you are in Vegas it is most likely a time to treat yourself and a little bit of candy is no dirrerent.
