Its closure may actually prove to be a good thing for Oscar's, however. The two restaurants had shared a kitchen. This may give Oscar's the opportunity to focus on improving food we rated as only "just good enough."

Simpatico Just Wasn't At The Plaza

Simpatico (/simˈpatiˌkō/): Likeable.
Unfortunately, the restaurant of the same name at the Plaza just couldn't live up to its definition. FremontStreetBars.com is reporting that Simpatico, the speakeasy(esque) dining joint inside the downtown hotel has closed its doors after about six months of service.
Envisioned as a "secret" resto within a resto concept, Simpatico just never garnered attention the way that its companion dining experience, Oscar's Beef Booze and Broads, did. And the headlines it did nab didn't help.
Back in February when we reviewed Oscar's we noted that Simpatico was "behind an unmarked and easily missed door." So, even if you were "in the know" about it, finding it was another matter.
