Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Adds Two New Places To Our Must Eat List

June 5, 2012 at 2:14 PM | by | Comments (4)

From Louisiana and Buffalo to Eastern Europe, new Vegas must eats will take you across the country and around the world.

We introduced you to Lola's Louisiana Kitchen yesterday and warned of the great mass invasion that its coverage on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives next week would spark.

But, it's too late when it comes to two addition Vegas food destinations that were featured on DDD last night. The first was Naked City Pizza inside Moon Doggies (dive) bar, just off The Strip which knew just what was coming there way:

You may have missed the crush, but you should still head here for tasty slices of Buffalo by Former MGM Grand chef Chris Palmeri, from full-sheet pizzas to suicide fires with lots of hot sauce.

The next drool-worthy destination is Forte European Tapas Bar and Bistro, located at Flamingo and Rainbow and run by Nina Manchev. You'll find both Bulgarian and Eastern European dishes here, including simmering Croatian clay pots stuffed with tomatoes, bell peppers, Bulgarian feta, green onions, oregano, olive, oil, Bulgarian sausage, paprika and a cooked egg.

Forte's Twitter feed also features a yummy-looking roasted veggie tower that we may need to add to our order, too:

And, then we saw this and moved Forte above Naked City Pizza on our list:

Catch repeats of last night's episode on the Food Network on June 15 at 9 p.m. or June 16 at midnight or 4 p.m. Watch Lola's DDD premiere next week on June 11.

Forte

Never heard of it until last night. That is next up on the must eat list!

John Mull's

I'm a big Triple D fan. Guy graduated from UNLV in the early 90's.

A couple of weeks ago, John Mull's Road Kill Grill was featured. It is a butcher shop in N. Las Vegas that is noted for their awesome BBW and hot links. I'm going to go check it out after the buzz wears down.

Naked City Pizza has been a best kept secret for years for those of us who live close-in west side. Well worth checking out!

John Mull's

I was going to comment on John Mull's Road Kill Grill too.  I hadn't heard of it before but it looked great!

Here's their Facebook page for those interested.

re: Mulls

I read a few Yelp reviews with people upset that they add some kind of nitrates which was on DDD. I think those are bad for people w/heart problems.

It does look awesome, but giving a heads up just in case.
