When we think about smoking a cigar, beer isn't the first thing on our mind. We're usually looking to a glass of wine or espresso. We also think about black and white movies with men in suits sipping scotch or whiskey. Alternatively, we may just watch Mad Men.
We love beer and think that there are some interesting ones here. The Firestone Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout makes us think that it will be a particularly nice complement to a cigar similar to how an espresso is. While we're not sure craft beer and cigars go well together, we're willing to find out.
The Casa Fuente Craft Beer Festival is presented by the Casa Fuente Spirits Society. The $50 membership will get you a free drink and stogie along with discounts at Casa Fuente. For more information, head to Casa Fuente's Facebook page.
