"This is the Vegas you know. This is how it began."

So begins a trailer for CBS' new Vegas show, uhh, Vegas set to make its debut this September 24 at 10 p.m. Don't expect a remake of Dan Tanna here. No, this show will pit cowboys against mobsters in how the west was won. Or, something like that. Here's how the network features it in a new teaser video released just a few days ago:

And, it looks like CBS execs are banking on a huge success because they've already started replicating Vegas of old according to the Facebook page of Vegas star Jason O'Mara:

'Vegas' boss Greg Walker showed me around the sets for the show today. Jaw-droppingly huge and very beautiful. They have recreated Fremont Street, Las Vegas and built a massive interior Casino set. Very impressive. We don't start shooting for a few days but seeing this stuff today made it all feel very real. Bring on Day One and bring on Sept 25th!

Vegas is loosely based on the life of sheriff Ralph Lamb, noted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal as one of the first 100 people to shape Southern Nevada into what it is today.
