Venetian Poker Room Sits Out For A Month
Where: 3355 Las Vegas Boulevard South
[map],
89109

Las Vegas's biggest poker room folded up shop a few weeks ago at the Venetian. Literally, the poker room threw up the walls seen below, cutting itself off from the rest of the gaming floor and taking some of that with it to boot.
Have no fear though, poker players, as the shutdown is only temporary for the month of August so that the six year old room can undergo some renovations and get even bigger. Pokerati reports when the room reopens September 1 it will have gone from 52 tables to 59 and upgraded both the TVs and already pretty terrific chairs. The high limit area will also have a different look to it.
To expand, the room will soak up some of the floor space leading to Noodle Asia and the Cantor Sportsbook that was previously used for overflow tournament play anyway. In the meantime, poker action has moved over behind the escalators of the Palazzo. Or, adjacent to Carnevino if that's a better point of reference.
