New Casino Toys Are Right Around The Corner

Yes, it's that thrilling.

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is the annual conference for the gaming casino business. Like most conferences, there are panels to discuss the future of the the business by industry experts along with the expo show floor itself where we can actually see, taste and touch the things coming to casinos soon. Today's gaming market extends out of the casino and into our houses and on our mobile phones.

Last year, the big talk off the G2E floor was about casinos and game manufacturers getting into your house with Facebook games and marketing. That started off slowly while companies developed the technology and waited on regulation but, today, Nevadans can bet on sports from their couch while people around the world took advantage of Caesars Entertainment's Escape to Total Rewards contest to earn comps from their desktop.

In 2011, we previewed many slot machines that we'd find on the casino floor including Aladdin which was our favorite slot machine at G2E last year. Two years ago, you'll remember that we brought you the first video of The Hangover slot machine.

This year's G2E kicks off October 1 and will certainly show off the future of what we should expect to see on the casino floor. Look for themed slot machines to take center stage with Bally Technology debuting Pawn Stars and NASCAR slots.

Slot machines with themes we know are cool, but the fun stuff is advances in technology like the Aladdin slot machine brought us last year and the iTables that were introduced by Shufflemaster and that can now be found at Planet Hollywood.

Topics on the mind of many casinos and game manufacturers will continue to surround social and mobile gaming. Beyond the future of online and offline casinos, we can look forward to more celebrity appearances around the new slot machines to play.

We like the surprise of finding new casino toys so, to be frank, we don't want to do too much research on the expo floor of G2E.
