There's Vegas and then there is old school Vegas. And, if haven't seen Cook E. Jarr, a city staple since '82, you're missing out on one of the most cheeztastic Vegas experiences out there.
The extremely well-tanned, gold-chain-wearing Vegas icon has been rockin' stages, from the Sands and the Hacienda to Harrah's and now Bill's, for decades now. But, with the closure of Bill's fast approaching (February 3), what will happen to the city's self-proclaimed Mr. Entertainment? We posed that question to a Caesars Entertainment representative who told us they were "currently looking for opportunities for Cook E. Jarr at our other properties." Translation: Beats us, right now.
We have faith in the resilience of Cook E. Jarr, though, and hope to pass along news of a new home soon. See him while you can at Bill's on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Meantime, if you've never witnessed the spectacle that is Cook E. Jarr, check out the pelvic swivel and thrust lounge stylingz you're missing out on:
