Here's Another Way to Ogle Nearly Naked Ladies in Vegas
2000 Las Vegas Boulevard South [map]
For those of you who were gutted that the vampire-themed
nudie topless show, BITE was garlic-smoked out of Stratosphere only to re-emerge from its see-through coffin at Plaza, you can now rest easy knowing that when you stay at the Strat, nearly naked ladies are no longer a cab ride away.
The Stratosphere has announced a new, original show called PIN UP, inspired by the old school pin-up girls of yesteryore. Claire Sinclair, Playboy's 2011 Playmate of the Year and Bettie Page clothing model (not to mention one-time girlfriend of Hugh Hefner's son), is set to star in the show, which she calls, "classy, sexy and most importantly, fun." Uh-oh, ya hear that Peepshow? But, don't just take Sinclair's word for it. Here's the official show description:
Featuring an impressive cast of dancers, singers and a live six-piece band with a horn section, PIN UP is a fast-paced, swingin’ production that will transport audiences to a modern version of a vintage era where red lips, corsets and garter stockings grace the most beautiful of women.
The show is actually being produced by one of Sin City's hunky headliners, Frankie Moreno, who created the concept and scored the high-energy swing music. Lacey Schwimmer, a Dancing with the Stars alum, has done the choreography for the four female dancers and the one lone (and lucky) male dancer.
PIN UP will premiere at the Stratosphere Theater on Monday, February 25 at 11 p.m. After opening night, PIN UP will go on at 10:30 p.m., five nights a week, Thursday through Monday. Tickets cost $49.99 plus taxes. VIP seats are $59.99 plus tax. Tickets are on sale today here or by calling 1-800-99-TOWER. But, sorry, like most of the fun in Vegas, you need to be 21 to enjoy.
