Punk Rock Bowling To Return To Vegas

Punk Rock Bowling has become a staple of summers in Las Vegas and it returns late May in full force. Punk Rock Bowling is part bowling event for punk rockers and concerts for anyone. The bowling portion will take place at Sam's Town and the Gold Coast. Registration begins for returning bowlers on January 14 and continues through February 15. There is a waiting list available for new teams of bowlers.

The 15th annual edition of Punk Rock Bowling will take place May 25-27. This is Memorial Day Weekend so if you plan to attend expect slightly higher hotel rates unless you book well in advance.

In true punk rock fashion, a lot of the club shows, locations and bands are TBD. While much is still up in the air, some bands have been announced on PunkRockBowling.com. Performing bands already announced include Bad Religion, The Damned, D.R.I., Lagwagon, Bouncing Souls and Black Flag Tribute band, Flag.

Downtown Vegas is home base for Punk Rock Bowling even though actual bowling takes place elsewhere. We took in a couple days of Punk Rock Bowling last year and it was every bit of middle-aged punk rock we'd hoped for and imagined. The atmosphere, as always, was fun downtown and the punks exuded it. We can't wait to return this year.

Tickets for the three-day outdoor festival are priced at $105 and go on sale Tuesday, January 29 at 1 p.m. through the official site at punkrockbowling.com.
