Rockhouse To Be One Party After Another, If You Can Find It

Before Rockhouse closed up shop in front of the Imperial Palace last summer, it already knew that it would be moving to a new location inside Venetian:

Now, the day is almost here with a soft opening expected any week now. Despite the the lack of a specific date, the party announcements from the dive bar have been non-stop with details on bashes celebrating the Big Game, Mardi Gras, and Valentine's Day already filling our in-box. (In case you're wondering, exact info can be found below.)

When it does make its debut, Rockhouse will cover a sprawling 9,000 square feet and will face Las Vegas Boulevard (just like it did previously although a lot more removed). It should be easy to find from The Strip, but from inside the Venetian it was pretty difficult when we stopped by for a recent visit. A wayfinding map had us on a good start as we journeyed through the resort's second floor shops where we heard it would be located, or so we thought. Eventually, we began to wonder where we went wrong. Our mistake was assuming there was an entrance from within the resort.

After asking a security guard near TAO how to find Rockhouse (who then consulted a map of his own) we were tentatively told to go down the escalators to the casino floor. We didn't think that sounded right, either, so we walked through the exit doors just a few steps away instead. Faced with a quick left or right, we went with the latter, but had doubts regarding that decision, too. Thankfully, we stuck with it and followed the exterior promenade around a corner and down a corridor before finding Rockhouse construction walls. Success, at last. Bottom line: from the casino floor, head up the escalators that lead to TAO, out the exit doors, take a right and keep walking.

Once construction barricades are removed, visitors will find pool tables, tire swings (for the staff, not you), beer pong, a mechanical bull, 83 TVs, three bars, bar food, and more. We'll share the opening date when it's announced.

fantastic!

Are they gonna bring back those 54oz guitars full of the liquor of my choice?!

@the big G

Yes, they're bringing back the booze guitars!

Across from First?

I believe it's right across from First at the Palazzo?  Just follow the signs for that.  Or, from the outside, take the escalator up from the front of Walgreens and you should be right there.

Or my memory is playing tricks with me from or November trip. :)
