Golden Nugget Buffet Closed For 'Remodeling'

January 17, 2013 at 5:00 PM | by | Comments (2)

Another Vegas buffet has the remodeling bug. The Golden Nugget has shuttered its buffet through January 23 for a refresh. And, in this case, we hope it's bug as in 'let's jazz this joint up' and not the kind that recently made headlines and closed other restaurants at the downtown resort.

No word yet on just what's being done, but as with the re-do of The Buffet at Aria, let's hope it's a rework of both the space and the cuisine. Especially after reading Golden Nugget Buffet Foursquare comments warning of "horrible food" and "worst food ever." And, then there's the guy who said he liked Circus Circus' buffet better. Eeek!

Thanks to VegasChatter fan sammasseur for the tip.

Ten days?

Yeah, a ten day remodel doesn't include much change to the food. It's barely enough time to reupholster the chairs.

BAD!

I WILL NOT EVER go back to the GN buffet. The WORST I have ever been treated was at this buffet and THAT includes my WHOLE family. Would not let us sit together when there were 12 other people in the joint. If we sat together, they were going to charge us 18% tip. Excuse me but THIS IS A BUFFET! SO... We wanted our money back and the cashier got VERY rude and started speaking to her workmate in SPANISH! (Cussing us out) In my opinion, this whole casino is nothing but rude workers.
