And, come February 1, Don B's Steakhouse will become Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse which we will just call Joe's. We also feel we should give the D props for not going with D Steakhouse. It must have been a close vote, though. Joe's is actually a chain restaurant from, you guessed it, Detroit which is what inspired -- in part -- the hotel-casino's new name. (It was formerly Fitzgeralds.) Expect housemade bread, "award-winning sauces," and handmade pasta when it makes its debut. It will be open nightly from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Joe's joins another Michigan import at the D, American Coney Island, a chili dog joint.
The D tells us that no more changes will occur on the food front. Its entertainment offerings are another matter. As we've already reported, Raack N Roll will rock the hotel starting February 1. Meantime, comedian/magician Adam London will hit D showroom beginning February 7. And, rumor has it that another, unnamed show will soon make its D-ebut as well.
