Five Ways To Get Your Mardi Gras On In Vegas

Between the Super Bowl on February 3 and Mardi Gras parties kicking off a week later, New Orleans has its hands full in a drink-your-face-off sort of way.

Unfortunately, unless you're super spontaneous, time has run out for you to make an appearance in the Big Easy next month. Vegas, however, has you covered with plenty of drink specials and events. We're still looking for the big bash that's going to rival Bourbon Street, but the Golden Nugget is bringing back its Masquerade Ball. Both, the Silverton and M Resort report that they won't be hosting any special parties this year. Otherwise, you're stuck sucking down Hurricanes and cans of PBR. Here's a glimpse of what's happening, or not happening, during the week of Mardi Gras:

Ranch House Kitchen at Town Square: Ranch House Kitchen will celebrate Mardi Gras with a $5 Hurricane cocktail special on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Coincidentally, guests can also enjoy the "Dirtbag Tuesdays" special of .50 cent PBR drafts from 9 p.m. until midnight. We're not yet sold on the name, but with a price like that, call us whatever you want.

Red Rooster: They only thing they'll say about their party on Saturday, February 16 is that they'll supply the beads. Find out what you can bring here.

Gold Diggers at the Golden Nugget: Get your masks ready. Gold Diggers will host a Masquerade Ball on Saturday, February 8. There's no break on drink prices (make sure you pregame!), but the cover charge is reasonable at $15 per person/$25 per couple in advance or $20 per person at the door. VIP table reservations may be made with full bottle service for $175. Advance admission and table service may be secured online or by calling 1-866-946-5336.

Rockhouse at Venetian's Grand Canal Shoppes: On Fat Tuesday (Feb 12), Rockhouse is selling $5 Hurricane cocktails all day long. Channel your inner-Bourbon Street along with your inner-Jimmy Buffet.

PBR Rock Bar at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Miles Shops: In honor of the famed Bourbon Street party, the Strip-side PBR Rock Bar will offer Fat Tuesday partygoers a bourbon drink, beads and a bull ride for $10.

Of course, you can celebrate Mardi Gras year-round at Rio's Show In The Sky, The Orleans, Fat Tuesday, Mermaids or La Bayou.

You use a picture of the original Mardi Gras themed casino resort, Harrah's, but don't mention them in the article. Are they doing nothing for Mardi Gras?
