Forget The Big Game, Get Ready For March Madness

We were just minding our business this weekend when we were shocked and surprised by a tweet we saw from Planet Hollywood (@phvegas) already pimping March Madness packages. We're not even ready for the Super Bowl!

We totally understand and appreciate Caesars properties getting a jump start on promoting March Madness viewing parties. Super Sunday is the busiest sports day in Las Vegas and March Madness is the busiest sports weekend in Vegas. We recommend that you make plans for busy weekends in Vegas as far in advance as possible. This is why we keep a list of Big Game parties and keep track of room rates for EDC in January.

There is limited information on these "Hoops on the Strip" parties, but they seem to just be places where you can watch the games and nothing else. If you want more to your March Madness viewing, keep an eye here for party listings like we did last year. If you absolutely must watch the games at Lagasse's Stadium then you may want to make a reservation now and deal with any minimum requirements later.

South Point is fine but nothing special. It's pretty inexpensive and large which is nice for a non-strip casino.

Details on Planet Hollywood?

The PH deal definitely looks interesting but my question is where they are holding this event.  The book is pretty small so maybe "premium seating" means actual seats in the book?  Or maybe they will be opening up a separate conference room space for the viewing party?

I can't say for sure but I'm assuming these tickets are for a non-public space like a ballroom.

I saw a picture of a Super Bowl party at PH this weekend on twitter and it was in a large ballroom with round tables and a lot of large screen TV's. I'm assuming this will be similar.
