Circus Circus Will Get Its Water Park
Circus Circus has won the approval of zoning officials to move forward with plans for a water park. But, don't get too excited because it's sounding like you may need to be a guest in order to access it.
In seeking a green light for the project, Circus Circus has filed more documents which reveal more precise details about the endeavor. First, contrary to our initial interpretation of governmental-ese, the water park won't replace Circus' KOA campground, after all. Instead, the attraction will be located south of the RV park between Circus Circus Manor and the hotel's Skyrise Tower. New filings state there will be no direct access to the water park. Instead, guests will be required to access it through the hotel-casino's Skyrise Tower. Here's what visitors will find once they arrive:
The facility will consist of a children's pool, river channel with a pool feature, slide plunge pool, and 2 water slide structures.
Shade structures, cabanas, two snack bars, a retail shop, and restrooms will also be constructed and more than 250 trees will be planted.
No mention of a timeline was made in county records. Circus Circus already has two swimming pools, both located adjacent to the Skyrise Tower.
