CityCenter To Get Second Pizza Joint

Pizza. It's what's for dinner. And, for lunch. And, what the people want.

Already home to Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria and Cucina, CityCenter will serve up a slice of a different kind this spring with FIVE50, a "pizza bar" by acclaimed chef Shawn McClain. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Chef McClain already has a CityCenter resto, Sage.

As with Sage, FIVE50 will be located inside Aria, taking over the space occupied by the recently shuttered SKYBOX Sports Bar and Grill. The name comes from the temperature at which pizza is typically cooked. It also references what will be the restaurant's happy hour. Besides pizza, the menu will also feature pasta, charcuterie, desserts and craft beers.

The design will focus on communal tables and, for those who'd rather take it and run up to their room, a to-go window will also be offered.
