It's less than a month now before Las Vegas' new $55 million dollar children's museum is filled with hordes of relieved parents eager children. The Discovery Children's Museum closed its previous location earlier this month as it prepares to debut in a brand new facility next to downtown's Smith Center on March 9 at 10 a.m.

A worker gave us the inside scoop on what was to come back in March 2012, but now we're able to detail each of the venue's nine exhibit spaces, spanning three floors. They include:

●Eco City (Sustainability Meets Eco-Friendly)
●Fantasy Festival (All The World's A Stage)
●Solve It! Mystery Town (Young Minds Investigate)
●Water World (Discover The Movement and Power)
●It's Your Choice (Building A Healthy Lifestyle)
●Toddler Town (Big Fun For The Wee Ones)
●Young at Art (Imaginations Run Wild)
●Patents Pending (Calling All Scientists and Investors)

The ninth exhibit space seems like it will be dedicated to a rotating experience with the first set to Discover The Real George Washington from March 9 through May 15.

The museum's big wow moment, however, will be The Summit, a tower that will span all three of the venue's floors and that "pinches through the roof." The Summit will allow children to climb and slide between the floors as well as tackle 13 hands-on displays, from learning about magnets to checking out rooftop views.

Many of the exhibits from the museum's old Las Vegas Boulevard facility have been donated to the St. George Children's Museum.

The new Discovery Children's Museum will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. to Sunday September through May. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It will also be closed for the holidays of Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year's Day.

General admission will be $12 for ages 1 to 99. Children younger or adults older will be free. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No adults will be permitted without a child.
