Michael Turco's Magic & Mayhem Moves From Strip To Summerlin

We're not sure if we've discovered a trend or if all magic roads are currently leading to the Vegas suburb of Summerlin. In December, we alerted you to former Strip magician Rick Thomas's return to the Vegas scene. And, he chose to stage two gigs off-Strip at the Suncoast. Right next door, at the Rampart Casino we just discovered that magician Michael Turco will be performing February 15 in the Grand Ballroom.

Turco's Magic & Mayhem show was recently an afternoon show at the Saxe Theater in Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops. A former America's Got Talent contestant, Turco left his PH spot in October. And in the unusual, but predictably musical chair world of magicians, Nathan Burton moved from the Flamingo to take his place in the Saxe Theater. Still keeping up? Nathan Burton was also a former America's Got Talent contestant.

So, since October, Michael Turco has been looking for a new Vegas performance home and we find it interesting that, like Rick Thomas, he went looking much further off Strip. While we've not seen Michael's full show, we've met him round town and he's a charming and visible part of the Vegas landscape. And, we heard his family friendly show features a particularly exuberant team of dancing assistants. We've included a promo video below to give you an idea.

Price for this show is only $15. A nice price. They'll be available for purchase at the "Rampart's Casino Cashier." Not Ticketmaster. Yep, Rampart doesn't normally stage shows like this. We'll be keeping an eye out to see if our hunch is correct about this being part of an off-Strip magic migratory trend.

Good luck, Michael

I met Michael recently (really nice and funny guy)and he appeared excited about this venue.  It was unfortunate that I hadn't seen him perform yet, but now might get the chance.  Good like, Michael!
