The incident was described, originally, as a "rolling gun battle," but authorities now report that gunfire only came from the Range Rover. This all happened at Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard. As of this writing, that intersection and a nearby stretch of the Strip was still blocked to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. @BruceNV on Twitter tells us that the closure runs all the way up to Harmon.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that authorities are now looking for a black Range Rover with "dark tinted windows and black rims" and "paper dealer plates." The newspaper reports that the taxi was "affiliated with the Desert Cab company."
