Our Dream Casino Bar

February 27, 2013 at 1:55 PM | by | Comments (3)

It's that time of the year in Vegas when the weather turns from the relatively cold winter and becomes perfect. This weekend the temps get deep into the 70s and pool season starts next week! Since a lot of this writer's life is spent inside casinos, dreams are constant on how to make that time better. When the weather reaches the 70s, this Chatter'er is ready to spend some quality time outside, but still at a casino. It's time to bring the casino, sportsbook and bar outside.

This writer's dream casino bar would be stocked with a wide variety of craft beer. Fancy cocktails will be available, but won't be the focus of this casino bar. This bar would be outside and have video poker so we can enjoy the awesome craft beer selection for free while we play and earn comps on our players club card. Chances are, we'll need those points to get a burger later.

Our dream casino bar would have countless TVs showing sports with a sports betting window off to the side a la Book and Stage at the Cosmopolitan.

Come to think of it, if we could take the Book & Stage bar with a jazz or blues band playing off to the side, add TVs and place it alongside the Boulevard Pool, we may actually have our dream bar. At least this writer would.

Tell us about your Vegas dream bar in the comments below.

A Great Idea

Considering the sports book, outdoor, sports ideas.  I really wish my VP machine would run the tickers of the sports teams I am interested in.

This would give the casino a few pieces of information they could market to me.

  1. They would know what teams I follow and therefore could prompt me to make a bet in the sports book when my games are open for betting.  They could also display the top games people are betting on and give me live updates on the line and other bets available.

  2. I'd stay in my seat longer and since I would be staring at the screen for more than just the VP game, I would most likely gamble more. (earning me more comps)

BRILLIANT! "VP machine would run the tickers of the sports teams I am interested in"

@eastcoastgambler

Right!  I can't believe they haven't done this yet!  Seems so simple.
