Caesars Entertainment's newly instated resort fees don't apply to everyone. And, in case you weren't aware, neither does Treasure Island's.

@TIVegas told us on Twitter recently that there are ways around its $25 a night (plus tax) resort fee. And, it's sharing the news with others, too:

Of course, there is always a catch. This one is pretty simple, though. If you book through a third party, you can't get your resort fee waived, period. In other words, it only applies if you make your reservation directly with TI. And, yes, that might mean foregoing that lower room rate. You'll have to see which way pencils out to more savings before you click that submit button, but at least now you know that mandatory resort fee isn't as mandatory as once thought.

interesting...

are there ways to get out of the resort fee with any of the other MLife properties (or CET) or just TI?

Re: interesting...

CET waives the resort fee if you are Platinum or above Total Rewards member and on any comped rooms.  MLife properties generally only waives resort fees on comped rooms and then only at some locations.

Speaking from personal experience, however, an MLife property we stayed at in the fall waived our resort fees for our entire stay and comped us a night when there was an issue with our room.
