Bobby's Burger Palace Coming To Crystals

"Crystals is not a mall..."

Those are the words of an MGM Resorts executive during a first quarter earnings call so it makes sense that the company is leaving that burger shack to the coming promenade between Monte Carlo and New York-New York. No, here at this high-end shopping destination only a burger palace will do. Bobby Flay's Burger Palace, to be exact.

News of the restaurant's coming CityCenter debut was shared with investors during a conference call. The Eater Vegas blog speculates that this palace will be located between the newly opened Starbucks and the not-so-new-anymore Pinkberry on the Strip in front of the Mandarin Oriental. All royal brands in their own right. Coincidentally (or, perhaps, not so), a Burger Palace had -- until recently -- been found at The Quad, minus Flay. Obvi.

Bobby's Burger Palace has locations in nine US states, including Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington DC. This will be its first west coast outpost, but not his first venture in Vegas. Flay already operates Mesa Grill over at Caesars Palace.

Another interesting CityCenter tidbit revealed by the call, the long shuttered Silk Road restaurant space in Vdara will now morph into additional meeting space.
