NBA Announces 2013 Las Vegas Summer League Schedule
As we head into the heart of the NBA playoffs, the league has announced its 2013 Las Vegas Summer League schedule. Games will take place multiple times a day between Friday, July 12 and Monday, July 22 on the campus of UNLV at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. Not only will the teams showcase first and second year players, but for the first time since the Summer League started in 2004, there will be a tournament format.
When participating teams take the court in Las Vegas this summer for the 2013 NBA Summer League, a championship will be on the line. For the first time since the league's inception in 2004, NBA Summer League will feature a format that includes preliminary games followed by a single-elimination tournament leading to an eventual champion.
While official rosters for the Las Vegas Summer League teams haven't been set yet, there's a good chance that we'll be able to see the infamous unibrow of the number one selection in last year's draft, Anthony Davis, up close. Superstars like Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin have all appeared in Las Vegas Summer League games and this is a great way to see stars of the future up close and personal.
Tickets for the 2013 NBA Summer League will go on sale June 1 at 10 a.m. PDT. Call 702-739-FANS or go through UNLVtickets.com.
