We've all been wondering what that Vortex is going to look like when it's all systems go. Well, recently we've captured a few shots of the Vortex in action, and it has us excited for the possibilities.

Last night, the Vortex was lit up in a blaze of white (seen at top) while the south side of The Quad was showing its colors, too. Seen below, this is the side you'll pass by as you enter The Linq. The wall features multi-colored LED panels. Execs have explained that they'll be programmed to complement the lights you'll see both on the marquee and the Vortex.

A few weeks back, we also snapped these shots of some waving American flags on the Vortex. And, we have to say, it looked great. Reps say the Vortex will never show ads so we're really curious as what will be displayed.

We've yet to see The Linq's marquee lit up, but Twitter's @Jonathan_M_Bell managed to spot both it and the Vortex being tested simultaneously recently:

The Linq, an outdoor mall with dining, shopping and nightlife experiences as well as that ginormous Ferris wheel, will soft open starting this December with the majority of venues coming online in February. Look for the High Roller wheel to debut around the second quarter of 2014.

The pessimist in me says not to trust Caesars. Remember, this is the company that told us the reason they added resort fees was because their guests "demanded" them.

They told us that's what the marquee would be used for and it makes sense not to have competing ads so close together. But, in this town, what's true one day....

@702Becca: My prediction is that some tech company will offer up big bucks to display ads up there during the CES show. It might not be this coming January; but, it'll happen some day.

Did you hear the High Roller is being offered for sponsorship? Oy.
