We're hearing lots of chatter that The High Roller could debut this week or next. Rumor has it that the plan is to have the observation wheel up and running in time for the ACM two-day concert event due to happen right behind The High Roller on newly created festival grounds April 4-5. VegasChatter friend @anthonybwilson on Twitter was at The Linq (where you'll find The High Roller) today and reports that the official word is that testing is still underway.
A short drive away at Rio, VooDoo Zip Line now has an actual line between the hotel's towers. Vegas Rover on Facebook reports sources as saying the sit-down attraction could take off as soon as this weekend. Permits have (finally) been officially approved, however, testing has yet to be completed so this weekend is likely a bit too optimistic.
And, in Downtown Vegas, a rumor that Slotzilla was delayed until at least April still seems to be holding true. A new round of hiring just took place March 21-22. While an opening date still isn't being cited, the Slotzilla Facebook page is proclaiming that the wait is almost over.
