While the large majority of pedestrians will access The Linq from The Strip or from adjoining hotels, Flamingo and The Quad, several VegasChatter readers have enquired as to whether those were the only options. The answer is, no.

Not only is The Linq's valet located at its easternmost end and accessible from Koval Avenue or Linq Lane, but pedestrians can also enter the new outdoor mall from that side as well. It won't be the most popular choice for pedestrians, but if you're headed there from Bally's, the Platinum or the Westin, it will certainly be the kinder route for your feet.

We snapped a few pics to better illustrate the access point. These are the steps that lead up to The Linq from Linq Lane (formerly Audrie Lane):

And, yes, you'll walk under and likely gawk at The High Roller observation wheel.

Standing in the same spot, this is the view down Linq Lane which is lined with sidewalks. You can see Bally's in the background.

And, this is the view you'd see looking from valet back down to Linq Lane:

There's a Monorail station there at the East end of the Linq as well.  Just exit at the Harrah's station, take the stairs down, and you're right at the valet mentioned in the article.  My wife and I used the Monorail to get in and out of the Linq this weekend and found it to be very convenient.  Riding the High Roller was a blast.  Surprisingly, there were no lines.  We walked right on after buying tickets at the kiosks.  Then, it was on to cocktails and appetizers at the Yard House.

Entering from the back is easy.

I have a timeshare at the Desert Club which is on Koval Ln behind The Link parking lot.  By car, you can enter The Link by turning off Koval Ln. onto Winnick Ave.  Winnick dead ends now at The Link parking lot.  We walked through the parking lot and right into The Link.  It was very convenient.

Great News

So happy to hear that this is open - walks to/from Ellis Island and the strip will be a lot shorter and more pleasant.
