Why Bobby Flay Loves Cooking in Vegas

Vegas Uncork'd had Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis catering to our every whim last week (ok, not our every whim) as the two hosted a Master Series dinner at Flay's Mesa Grill. The duo split up the menu, but didn't list who was responsible for each dish. Guests had to test their true foodie knowledge as each dish arrived and guess whose it was -- Bobby's or Giada's? (We failed. We thought a sweet crostini appetizer was all Giada but it was actually Bobby.)

While Giada is readying her first-ever restaurant to open at The Cromwell on June 4, Bobby has been around the Vegas block quite a few times; most recently opening Bobby's Burger Palace in front of Mandarin Oriental. And there's rarely ever a foodie event in Vegas that Flay isn't present at. So we had to ask him, why does he love cooking in Vegas so much? His answer:

Anybody who comes to Vegas is ready for any kind of adventure. It's a place where I feel I can really push the envelope here, more so than in any of my restaurants because everyone is ready to give it a try, no matter what it is.

That sounds about right to us. Vegas, baby, Vegas!
