Innapproprtate Spelling Should Be Ilegal At Draiís

The New York Times editors who made an embarrassing typo above the fold in the May 29 edition may be moonlighting for Draiís at The Cromwell. The venue is getting lots of praise for its swanky new beach club/nightclub, though probably not from grammar nerds.

This sign was spotted in the venueís restrooms over the weekend. Itís hard to pick a favorite mistake when there are so many to choose from. Arbitrary capitalization: check. Spelling errors: double check. Lack of end punctuation: you bet!

The best part is that somebody, probably several people, had to sign off on this before it was printed. Perhaps the signís creators enjoyed a few too many cocktails at Bound before tackling the project.

Why take a clichťd photo at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign when you can take the ultimate bathroom selfie with this painful notice?

Amazing!

I can't believe no one caught these mistakes.

Maybe The Writer...

Was intoxicated when they were wording the sign?

Makes you wonder

if the engineers and construction folks made any mistakes as well in re-inforcing the structure to hold it up for Drais' Beach Club

Maybe...

..they were trying to be funny and made the sign in a language that really drunk people can understand?!!

Let's hope. The above comment about shoddy construction is a pretty sobering thought.

Good catch on "Ilegal"

I read that as llegal, rather than Ilegal.

Maybee....

..thye we're grad u eights o "Harrvee's Spelin n Tipen Skool".

How many...

...layers of correction and spell-check are there?

If I were lewd and high

I would change my ways right quick after reading that sign.
