All You Need Is 'LOVE' To Complete Your Beatles Obsession

If you're a diehard Beatles fan then you've probably already got your copy of The Beatles Rockband video game as well as your very own 16-disk set of the entire Beatles song catalog, completely remastered for the 21st century, both of which were released today. So there's only thing left to do now--go see LOVE at The Mirage.
The Cirque Du Soleil show (set entirely to the music of The Beatles) runs only Thursday-Monday so it doesn't quite fit in with the 9-9-09 celebration but tickets are open for tomorrow night starting at $102.85 for the 7pm show.
Strapped for cash now that you've shelled out over $300 for the video game and the remasters disk set? Pop by the Hard Rock and admire their Beatles Collection. We're sure the new Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip will also have plenty of memorabilia for you to stare at. Just beware of the girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Getting Hitched in the Time of Recession: $99 Buys You Love

Christina Milian may not have wanted to wait any longer but 09-09-2009 seems like a nice day for a $99 wedding and La Bella Wedding Chapel at The Las Vegas Hilton is making it super easy for your Sin City hook up to turn into a budget-friendly hitch up.
H-h-hello, Brit Brit and Jason Alexander shotgun “I do’s” circa 2004! Going round two down the aisle? 09-09-2009 is a nice day to start again. Or maybe we should be slightly less cynical and consider that some of you lovebirds may actually be legit, but feeling cash-strapped in this tough economy.

Beijing Noodle No. 9 Wishes You a Propitious 9-9-09
Propitious. We love that word. It is the sort of archaic-sounding, highfalutin adjective that ends up in awkwardly translated Chinese menus, but manages to resonate just the same.
In fact, “propitious” is exactly how Beijing Noodle No. 9 at Caesars Palace describes tomorrow’s once-in-a-century alignment of the number 9. Nine is considered the magic number for all sorts of reasons, both in China and elsewhere, therefore 9/9/09 turns out to be as good a day as any to offer a special menu, and that’s just what this little noodle joint at Caesars decided to do. And that’s propitious for you.
All day on Wednesday, the eatery is offering a “9 Tastes of Beijing No. 9” menu for $19.99.

Now’s the Time to Book Your 9-9-09 Wedding
A few weeks back, we told you about the Stratosphere’s 99-couple wedding extravaganza to take place on September 9, but by no means are they the only ones looking to capitalize on the triple-digit significance of that date. With 9/9/09 now officially less than one month away, everyone’s getting on the bandwagon.
Among the wedding venues offering 9/9/09-themed packages are none other than the upscale Bellagio, which is featuring a $5,000 9/9/09 package inclusive of one hour’s chapel time, floral arrangements, Dom Perignon champagne, Jean Philippe Maury chocolates, photography, DVDs of the ceremony and limo transport for the bride and groom to downtown’s Marriage License Bureau. At that price, the additional inclusion of two complimentary buffets for bride and groom seems a bit beside the point (couldn’t they have swung a romantic dinner-for-two at Picasso or something?), but that’s just us.

Stratosphere To Stage a Wedding for 99 Couples on 9-9-09

Vegas is known as a place for quickie, kitschy, ultra-luxe or otherwise zany weddings, and with good reason. More than 100,000 marriage licenses are issued annually to couples who choose the backdrop of Sin City for their nuptials, with certain major holidays (New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day) enjoying the majority of the wedding action.
Having a rare date combination on the marriage certificate is also a plus. Last year, August 8 (8/8/08) was an incredibly popular date wedding, as 8s are considered the luckiest number in Asian cultures. Of course, the year prior brought us 7/7/07 – the quintessential Vegas jackpot sequence – making it a natural choice for the Vegas-bound betrothed.
