The Porn Expo Will Be Sexing Up The Nightclubs This Weekend

A dirty Kayden Kross. See what we did there?

Something tells us that the action in Vegas this weekend is going to be pretty full on – and not just because of the CES lot being in town. The Adult Entertainment Expo is, of course, also going down this week – and the people behind it are throwing a variety of bashes around town.

Tao is particularly hot for the pornies, with AVN parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday – the “official Adult Entertainment Expo Networking Party” - will be hosted by Sasha Grey, the convention’s keynote speaker. Friday it’s the turn of porn star Kayden Kross, and Saturday, Stormy Daniels (hurrah for a proper porn star name) is throwing an awards after party bash. Cover is $20 for Thursday and Saturday, $30 for men on Friday. Local ladies get in free every night.

Which to go for? Something tells us that the extra $10 for Kayden Kross will probably be worth it in terms of dirt - quite literally, going by her (we hope) muddy face in the promo pic. Although we're intrigued by the notion of porn industry networking. Let's make it a toss up between the two.

Who Knew? The Porn Expo Has a Keynote Speaker

It may have been snowing in Vegas recently but it’s sure been a hot news week. First the Stripper Mobile coming out of retirement; now news from the Adult Entertainment Expo, which has just announced Sasha Grey as its keynote speaker (who knew a porn convention would have a keynote speaker? Not us).

For the unacquainted, 21-year-old Ms Grey is not your typical only-opens-her-mouth-to-moan-ecstatically porn star. She’s managed by Dave Navarro, and talks about the film-making prowess of Jean-Luc Godard. Steven Soderbergh cast her as the lead in his latest film The Girlfriend Experience and Rolling Stone called her “liberating for women”. She’ll probably be talking about feminism and girl power, as her speech is entitled We are women, hear us roar (at least, we’re hoping it’s a roar of feminism, not of.. you know).

Anyhoo. If you want to hear what she’s got to say (or see what she’s got to display) Sasha will be speaking on Friday 8 January at 1.30pm. Tickets for the Expo cost from $80 per day from here.

Geeks and Pornstars are 'Gearing Up' for January 7

In a scheduling move that would make a brilliant reality show (we’re thinking a more hardcore Beauty and the Geek), the geeks and the pornstars will be hitting the Strip on January 7.

The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) will be taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, while the Adult Entertainment Expo is, erm going down at the Sands Expo. Both run until January 10.

The same scheduling clash took place last year so obviously the powers that be deemed it worth a rerun.

Last year, the AEE revealed that the porn industry was facing hard tough times, poor lambs, so we’re excited to know what the scoop is for 2010. If it’s still tough out there, maybe the geeks can wade in with some gadget advice. Yum.
