We Spy Boobies From The Palace Tower At Caesars
The yellow shades mark Venus Pool Club
Recently, a Brit colleague of ours came to Vegas with his girlfriend. They stayed at Caesars, and had a lovely time. Apart from, as he tells everyone who will listen to him, the moment they “tried to charge me $20 to see my girlfriend’s boobs”.
Yes, his girlfriend had gone to the Garden of the Gods, whipped off her top as the Europeans are wont to do, and was promptly squirreled away in the Venus Pool Club by anxious staff. And when he came out to join her for a spot of sunbathing, the same staff tried to charge him $20 to get in. As anyone who has ever spoken to him about Vegas will know, he has never forgiven Caesars for treating him, as he sees it, “like a virgin who lives in my mum’s basement.”
So we thought of our colleague as we did a little room tour of Caesars recently and copped a spectacular view of the Venus pool from a room in the Palace Tower. It was totally free, and there was nothing (apart from our sense of propriety) to stop us from using a zoom lense to get a better look at the jubblies on display down below. Of course, inside Venus, there are no cameras allowed, so this is a better bet for souvenir hunting.

The GO Pool is Now a No Go Boob Zone
As one of our comrades told us on Twitter the other day, Vegas = boobies. It’s kinda true – although the demise of Sin City Bad Girls saddened us, we were pleased to know that there’s plenty more where that came from – and only a couple of weeks ago we were taking in the scene at Venus Pool Club with the Chippendales. The Vegas life is a hard one, no?
But one place you’ll have to strike off the boobie list now is the Flamingo's GO Pool. We popped by the other day to get our boob envy fix, only to find a stern little sign on the gate warning us that things are not as they were:
Due to Clark County regulations, the Go Pool is now an Adult Pool with no topless sunbathing permitted.
Our apologies for any convenience

Azure Keeps the Douchebaggery to a Minimum With a Different Kind of Pool Party
Water you can see? What kind of Vegas pool party is this?
As we told you last week, we got a looksie at Azure in its 2010 incarnation when the Palazzo peeps let us hang around after we stalked Jennifer Love Hewitt. You already know we liked Tee. Here’s what we made of the rest.

Hopefully The Boobies At Bare Come Dressed A Little Sexier Than This
Are you thinking what he’s thinking?
Hello, summer! Now that it’s finally heating up we can contemplate pool parties without coming over all goose pimply. And from thinking about pool parties, it’s only a connecting thought of hot bods before you start thinking of boobies (we speak as resolutely heterosexual females, it may be a slightly quicker process if you're not).
Or, if you’re walking through the Mirage, you don’t need to make that inbetween thought at all. They’ve just taken down the old Sugar Factory display outside Jet (just as well, really, seeing as it was a bit out of date) and replaced it with one for Bare.

Unpretentious But Not Skanky: Why Liquid Made Us Melt
So as we were twittering away last Saturday, we finally made it to Liquid down at Aria. Technically, we were there to stalk Kristin Cavallari but we ended up finding the Borats and the free lapdances for fiftysomething ladies rather more interesting than K Cav (whose legs, btw, are perfection. Perfection! Beyatch).
And what do you know? We liked it a lot. We ended up spending all day there, and liked that it was pretty chilled until about 2pm, and banging after 3.30.
Poolwise, it’s smaller than Wet Republic, bigger than Tao Beach. The beds are laid out all round the pool, so none of them are more than a couple of rows back.
8 out of 10 of the waitresses appear to be long-blonde-haired Heidi clones, if you like that sort of thing. Personally, we weren’t too keen on their baby blue bikinis, but if you care about that kind of thing, you’re probably too busy ogling to make any color judgments.

Encore Beach Club Is Aiming For a 'European' Vibe
Vegas Tripping’s pic of the EBC works in progress in February
UPDATE: Apologies, it's not opening tomorrow, as we originally said, or 21 May. We had a brainstorm reading the press release. The opening date is 28 May after all. Sorry to get you all excited for your Costa del Sol fix this weekend
Another day, another pool opens. This time it’s the turn of the new, and long-awaited Encore Beach Club, and its interconnecting club, Surrender, which open their doors 28 May.
Will it be worth having ripped out Encore’s front entrance for? Well, according to the press release:
Encore Beach Club will be the premier destination for the trendsetter, offering the quality party atmosphere often found in European hot spots. The 60,000-square-foot venue will feature a lush oasis with three, tiered pools, day beds featuring private safes, 26 cabanas outfitted with refrigerators and flat screen televisions and eight two-story bungalows that will offer views of the Las Vegas Strip with hot tubs and other lavish amenities.

Get Your Vitamin D Fix This Weekend at The Rio's Pools

Although its location isn’t in the thick of the Strip action, we’ve always had a soft spot for Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Especially this summer, when the waterfront scene – both beach and pool – has been hopping.
Sun worshippers have two options for getting wet and wild. Hotel guests and locals can get horizontal at VooDoo Beach, a faux sandy beach that surrounds a lagoon with waterfalls and Jacuzzis. It’s open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and access is free. There’s also a deck with lounge chairs, poolside cabanas for rent and a snack bar.
Once a month, VooDoo Beach hosts a free poolside concert for its 18+ guests. Upcoming acts include Nine Days, The Ataris, Presidents of the United States and Marcy’s Playground. The vibe is more relaxed (read: more family-oriented) than some of the Strip pool scenes and pretentiousness is kept to a minimum.
If you simply want sun and a fun afternoon scene, but don’t want to throw down a lot of green, we recommend VooDoo Beach.

Jeremy Shockey Gets Knocked Out by Rehab at the Hard Rock

Rehab at the Hard Rock, the hotel's seasonal Sunday pool party, has a tongue-in-cheek name but the truth is, many folks partying here might actually be in need of the real rehab.
New Orleans Saints football star Jeremy Shockey collapsed at the pool yesterday, due to "dehydration." He was taken out of the area on a stretcher and then to the hospital. His reps say he will be "fine." Even more embarrassing than a big man falling down in public, the entire thing was caught on tape. Hit up TMZ for all the photos and video. And you'll notice that not even Jeremy Shockey going down can stop the party from partying on.
Meanwhile, over at Encore an audience member at Whoopi Goldberg's show inside the Danny Gans Theater collapsed due to a seizure, forcing Whoopi to shut the show down early so the man could be properly assisted. What happens in Vegas during a holiday weekend, might be too much for some to take.

The Azure Pool at the Palazzo Now Open for Cocktails and SPF Applications

The Venetian's Tao Beach is one of Vegas' ultimate party pools but not everyone want their adult pool to be such a scene. Fortunately, the Venetian's neighboring tower The Palazzo, now has its own sexy adult pool to call its own. The hotel just opened its Azure Pool this past weekend.
Bringing the radiance of a Mediterranean resort to The Palazzo, Azure is a little bit of Capri in Las Vegas. While relaxing on daybeds enveloped by verdant surroundings, guests enjoy Champagne, frozen grapes, ice towels, poolside cabana massages, and Evian water mistings. Magnum bottle service, fresh fruit purees, Bellini's, and frozen beverages will also be available.
And sunning by the pool can be sexy and healthy at the same time because Azure will offer guests complimentary SPF applications upon request. Further spa treatments will be offered by the hotel's Canyon Ranch Spa and Wolfgang Puck's restaurant will provide a small bites menu for guests.
However, the pool area won't be a zone-out zen spot all the time. On Saturdays, the pool will host Absolut Vodka Saturdays, serving cocktails made with the vodka brand. Also, fashion shows featuring the latest trends from stores inside The Shoppes at the Palazzo will be held twice a day on Saturdays. It's actually quite brilliant--serve guests vodka and convince them of how pretty they will look in the latest fashions which can be bought just a few feet away from the pool.
Azure is open from 11am to 6pm for folks over the age of 21 and the "membership fee" is a daily fee of $20.

Caesars Garden of the Gods Pool Area Now Half-Open
Major renovations have been afoot at Caesars since last fall. The big question is how on track are those renovations and how does the current state of construction effect your ability to bask in the sun at the Caesar's pool?
The Octavius Tower looks complete from the outside, however the project has been put on hold due to the "soft economy." But those in the know claim that the tower's interior can be made fully operational in "under three months", thus once tourists return to Vegas en mass the tower should open quickly.

The Sapphire Pool at The Rio is Stripper-Friendly

It’s not hard to catch a stripper outside her natural habitat in Vegas. After all, it’s a legitimate and fruitful career in Sin City, so the place is chock-full of them. Catching them outside the strip club, topless, that’s another ballgame.
But The Rio has made that easier for everyone. The Sapphire Pool, a Brazilian-style adult pool experience, was created in partnership with the new gentlemen's club in town, Sapphire club. So essentially, the Rio has combined a strip club with a pool. And Sapphire strippers drink for free here.

Caesars to Open Additions to Its 'Pool Oasis' This Summer

When Harrah’s Entertainment, parent company of Caesars Palace, announced the hotel’s newest expansion almost two years ago, the plan was to enlarge and renovate the hotel to the tune of $1 billion, the centerpiece of which was to be the new, 665-room Octavius Tower.
Of course, this was back when $1 billion represented a somewhat reasonable figure for a stalwart Las Vegas hotel looking to capture an even greater portion of the enormous Vegas tourism cache—and not the symbolic figure for bank bailouts and scandalous Wall Street ponzi schemes.
Needless to say given the current economic climate, expansion plans have been scaled waaaay back (hope to see you soon, Octavius Tower). But lest we forget those savvy folks at Harrah’s know a thing or two about where there bread is buttered, they went ahead with the expansion of their Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis.
