At Azure with Bridget. Where’s the bikini? ☹

It’s been too long since we last saw Holly Madison poolside, so we’re glad to see she rocked up to visit Bridget Marquardt at our favey pool party Azure at the weekend (even if she didn’t wear a bikini for the occasion). According to Azure, she said “it’s my first time here and it’s high end and relaxed”. See, Holly? We have the same tastes. It’s almost like we’re BFFs already.

In other news, turns out Holly’s going to Florida for her weeklong vacay, according to her uberfan, Robin Leach.

Bridget and Brody are Ruling the Strip This Weekend

there are only two places you need to be this weekend: at Tao tonight for Brody Jenner’s birthday party and tomorrow afternoon at Azure for Bridget Marquardt’s snowballs.

Brody will be celebrating his 27 years on the planet tonight, while tomorrow, Bridget will cool down Azure with snow machines, ice sculptures and luges, ice cube shots and alcoholic sno cones (oddly similar to the Blizzard on the Beach at Tao Beach today). Because she’s that hot, the place will need it, obviously. Wonder if Holly Madison will pop over to say hello?

Can You Take the Heat? Then You Might Enjoy This Job

Everyone, meet Tee. Tee, meet everyone. Apart with the guy at Liquid whose only function is to fill a waterpistol from the pool and shoot it at people, Tee surely has one of the most fun jobs in Vegas – he gets to wander round a pool party and talk to people.

OK, technically entertain – he has to play the drums while he’s on duty here at Azure at the Palazzo – but when we met him on Saturday, he was ambushed by a drunk douche who misappropriated the drums, allowing Tee to take the weight off his shoulders for a bit (because that thing looked heavy), step into the shade (can you imagine wearing that outfit in 115 degrees?) and engage us in conversation. Lucky guy!

Azure at The Palazzo is Now Open Again for Afternoon Delights

Another Friday, another pool scene open in Las Vegas. This time its the adults-only pool at The Palazzo, Azure. The pool will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday for guests 21 and over. In addition to musical guests and featured DJs, Azure will being serving brunch on Sundays from 11am to 4pm featuring Wolfgang Puck fare. Guests can dine a la carte on sandwiches, burgers and omelettes or indulge in a two-course brunch for two with a bottle of champagne over ice costs $200.

Don't forget about the Canyon Ranch spa ladies. Seek them out for some suntan lotion, bottled water and mini-massages.

We're not sure if there's a daily charge this year but last year, they were waiving the $20 fee on most days. Either way, hit up the website or call 702-607-1218 to make reservations for cabanas, daybeds, lounge chairs and bottle service. Never been to Azure? Check out our review from last year here.

'Donna Martin Graduates'... to Hosting Azure Pool Party Tomorrow

This Labor Day weekend, celebrity appearances are going to be plentiful throughout Vegas, especially at the Pool Parties. Fans of the original 90210 should hit up Azure at the Palazzo because Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott will be hosting the pool's regular Absolut Saturdays party. Also attending will be Regina King from the NBC show, Southland.

As with every Saturday, a DJ will spin some tunes while the celebs mingle around a cabana and the gawkers wade in the pool sipping manjo mojitos. Azure also has a fashion show that goes off as well. Tomorrow's fashions will come from Piazza Sempione and Michael Kors, both of which are located in the Shops at the Palazzo.

The party starts at 1pm and entry is usually $20 for folks 21 and older. When we were there, the bounces waived the cover saying they'd been lax about that lately. But we'd have a 20 handy just in case.

Spying On The Pool Parties: What 'Absolut Saturdays' Are Like at Azure

As the summer pool party scene winds down, there's only a few more weekends left to take advantage of all this wet n' wild weekend revelry. So if we may, let us give you the low down on the pool party scene at Azure at The Palazzo.

Azure is described as an upscale yet still sexy adult pool scene. We popped in the other weekend when singer Estelle (known for her hit duet with Kanye West, "American Boy") performed during the pool's "Absolut Saturdays" event, sponsored by (of course) Absolut vodka.

The crowd was definitely older, on the backside of their 20s and even their 30s in some cases, but still rather rowdy. The small swimming pool at the front of Azure was crowded but there were no giant plastic football mugs of daiquiries being sloshed around here.

Instead cute servers in white and azure-colored bikinis roamed the pool area taking drink and food orders (dishes from Wolfgang Puck's Solaro restaurant and the Canyon Ranch Spa are served). Small cabanas (tricked out with the latest amenities of course) lined the edges of Azure while daybeds lined the edges immediately around the pool.

Then came the entertainment.

Matt Dillon Still Making the Ladies Swoon at Azure at The Palazzo

Sure, there were celebs all over Sin City last weekend but we've got detailed reports on those who kicked it at The Palazzo.

On Saturday, Dancing with Stars betrothed dancers, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, settled in a private VIP cabana at Azure. The duo hosted the pool's Fourth of July party sponsored by Absolut vodka and Karina announced a fashion show that also took place poolside. We're sorry to tell you that the couple did not break out any ballroom moves for guests although they did spend Friday night dancing a little at TAO.

The day before, the still very hunky Matt Dillon kicked it poolside as well. While this snapshot of Matt shows him wearing too much clothing for poolside in Vegas, our "source" says he did (thankfully!) put on some swim trunks.

Matt was laying out on a lounge chair catching some rays with his jeans on and then decided he was going to spend the day at Azure and went and changed into his swim trunks. He stopped at The Palazzo Pool Shop looking for swimming trunks, but then decided to just wear his own. One lady gasped “Oh my goodness, is that Matt Dillon??!!” At times, he was surrounded by a women. Matt was very friendly to everyone. Guests were enjoying talking to Matt out by the pool. After his day at Azure, Matt and his friends had dinner on the terrace at Lavo.

Where To Work It Poolside This Weekend

The Vegas pool scene this summer continues to be hot, hot, hot. Here’s a quick rundown on where you want to be seen this weekend:

Venus at Caesars Palace is hopping on the weekends. The pool is open seven days a week from 10am – 6pm. There are cover charges however. During the week, men must pay $20 and women $10. On Fridays and Saturdays that jumps to $30 for men and $20 for the ladies. There are no big events going on this weekend but there will be DJs spinning poolside and we recommend ordering one of the pool's popular vodka-infused snow cones.

AC Slater To Show Off His Abs at Azure at The Palazzo

Apologies for the pool-heavy coverage today but it's Summertime in Vegas and the pools are where the action is.

We just wrote about the top three pool parties to hit up when you visit Vegas but this weekend, you might wanna look around. Over at Azure at The Palazzo, Mario Lopez (aka AC Slater from Saved By the Bell) is hosting the pool's official grand opening party tomorrow at 11am. If you want to see Mario shirtless in person, you better arrive early.

At Tao Beach at The Venetian, DJ Steve Aoki will be spinning during the pool's Sunset Sessions this Sunday.

And right now at Wet Republic, Shwayze and Cisco Adler are hosting Wet Republic’s Hot 100 Voting Party. (See VegasBill's live Twitpic.)

If you’ve been in tune these past few weeks, Wet Republic has been looking for Vegas’ 100 hottest locals, and it’s the finals of the finals. Don't know who Shwayze and Cisco are? You may remember them from their short-lived reality show “Buzzin’” and Cisco used to date Mischa Barton. Can’t get away? DJ Bad Boy Bill will be at the ultra-pool on Sunday.

The Azure Pool at the Palazzo Now Open for Cocktails and SPF Applications

The Venetian's Tao Beach is one of Vegas' ultimate party pools but not everyone want their adult pool to be such a scene. Fortunately, the Venetian's neighboring tower The Palazzo, now has its own sexy adult pool to call its own. The hotel just opened its Azure Pool this past weekend.

Bringing the radiance of a Mediterranean resort to The Palazzo, Azure is a little bit of Capri in Las Vegas. While relaxing on daybeds enveloped by verdant surroundings, guests enjoy Champagne, frozen grapes, ice towels, poolside cabana massages, and Evian water mistings. Magnum bottle service, fresh fruit purees, Bellini's, and frozen beverages will also be available.

And sunning by the pool can be sexy and healthy at the same time because Azure will offer guests complimentary SPF applications upon request. Further spa treatments will be offered by the hotel's Canyon Ranch Spa and Wolfgang Puck's restaurant will provide a small bites menu for guests.

However, the pool area won't be a zone-out zen spot all the time. On Saturdays, the pool will host Absolut Vodka Saturdays, serving cocktails made with the vodka brand. Also, fashion shows featuring the latest trends from stores inside The Shoppes at the Palazzo will be held twice a day on Saturdays. It's actually quite brilliant--serve guests vodka and convince them of how pretty they will look in the latest fashions which can be bought just a few feet away from the pool.

Azure is open from 11am to 6pm for folks over the age of 21 and the "membership fee" is a daily fee of $20.
