Five Vegas Acts That Meet And Greet (For Free)

Matt Goss getting in the mood for the afterparty

Fact: Vegas is a stalker’s paradise. You can pretty much meet any celeb/performer you like, as long as you’re prepared to stump up for the privilege. Wayne Newton, Barry Manilow, Lionel Richie, Donny & Marie, even Bubba Clinton – if you have the goodies (ie lots of money), they’ll shake your hand.

But what if you don’t have the moolah? Or if you’d (probably rightly) feel like a saddo for handing over $200 to get the quickest of hellos from someone you used to fancy back in 1989? Does that mean you’ll never meet a Vegas celeb?

No, people, not at all. Because there are some nice performers out there on the Strip who meet n greet their audience regardless of whether they’ve sat up front or been stashed away in the cheap seats. Here are our Top Five Acts That Meet and Greet. Go forth and mack on them (our fave new American word).

The Blue Men Give Thanks To The Men and Women Who Served This Country

November 11, 2009 at 6:58 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

Happy Veterans Day to all the men and women in the military service who have served (and are currently serving) our country! If you've been wondering how to show a veteran in your life just how much you care about them, a last-minute trip to Vegas might not be such a bad idea.

In fact, The Venetian will be giving thanks to a group of wounded veterans and their spouses all weekend as part of special gift from American Airlines, The Sands Corporation, ThanksUSA (a charitable effort that provides educational scholarships for children of veterans) and the Blue Man Group.

The Blue Men will even put on a special show for the veterans tomorrow night where all proceeds will go to ThanksUSA.

Tickets begin at $100 and can be purchased by calling The Venetian Box Office at 866-641-SHOW (7469) or 702-414-9000 and mentioning the code: ThanksUSA.

Here's what else is on in Vegas:
· Get your tickets to foul-mouthed and awesome Chelsea Handler at Caesars Palace [Caesars Palace]
· Tony Hawks eats it at the Encore and we're not talking food [VegasTripping]
· Vintage wedding chapel will reopen...as a museum [AP]
· Co-Ed Naked Ping Pong at Sapphire. No words needed. [Daily Fiasco]
