Where to Make It Ladies Night Tomorrow

December 30, 2009 at 2:12 PM | by juliab | 0 Comments

Fiddy? Yawn. Pete Wentz? Pur-lease. John Mayer? Only if he zips that mouth shut and turns his Twitter feed off. It’s fair to say that the men hosting New Year’s events tomorrow aren’t the hottest cakes in the celebrity cake box. But that’s ok, because when it comes to the ladies, they’re pretty fierce.

There’s Christina Aguilera at Tao, of course, but she’ll set you back a bit – tickets are currently shifting for $260, or $277.90 once you figure in additional charges, and she’s “hosting” rather than “performing” so you may not see her getting dirrty.

If you can’t afford to pop that genie out of its bottle (sorry), Eva Longoria Parker is hosting at Eve at CityCenter. For $150, you get hors d’oeuvres from Beso, bar from 8-11pm and a champagne toast (at midnight, we assume). Lay down $3500 (plus tax and gratuity) and you’ll get a VIP package for six, including a magnum of bubbly and two other bottles. Which kind of beats the $25k Fiddy meet-and-greet over at PURE (although that’s for 10 people and gives you eight bottles). And don’t forget, it’s actually Eva’s party, so with her name on the line, she’s going to make it a goodie.

Or don't forget Nicole Richie is hosting the hoedown at Lavo, and this actually sounds pretty good value – you get hors d’oeuvres, “basic open bar” and speciality cocktails from 9-11pm, champagne at midnight, Joel Madden as guest DJ, and entry to both Lavo and TAO after midnight. Either that means Xtina will be gone by then, or we’ve just worked out how to save $100 to her party. Cheers ladies!

Get your tickets for all the events here.

Eva Longoria Parker Will Give a Big, Fat, Beso To CityCenter Tonight

December 3, 2009 at 7:04 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

Yes, the CityCenter Grand Opening festivities are still going on. And get used to it folks. We believe there is going to be something going on nearly every day until at least New Year's Day.

Tonight, Eva Longoria Parker will open her Beso restaurant in The Crystals tonight and tomorrow, the Mandarin Oriental will welcome its first guests. We, unfortunately, had to be in NYC today and tomorrow so we can't attend the parties or snap stalkerazzi shots. FAIL. But if you've got your own, send 'em to us!.

Ring in the New Year With Eva Longoria at Beso at CityCenter

Where: 3780 Las Vegas Blvd South [map], 89109-4312

As prime time’s reigning sex kitten, we’re not the least bit surprised that Eva Longoria Parker, actress slash restauranteur/self-proclaimed domestic diva has chosen the most celebratory day of the whole damn year – New Year’s Eve – for the grand opening of her latest restaurant endeavor, Beso at MGM’s CityCenter .

Where else can you ring in the new year with like, a bajillion other people, heaploads of media attention and party goers willing to shell out a mortgage payment in the name of one helluva of dayafter hangover? That would be Vegas and an A-List destination like the to-be Beso.

Eva Longoria's Beso Restaurant Will Open at CityCenter

June 22, 2009 at 3:37 PM | by Erika Pope | 0 Comments

Our favorite Vegas gossip guru Norm Clarke reported in the LVRJ over the weekend a desperate housewife and one especially well-coiffed chef are partnering to open the second Beso restaurant at CityCenter.

Eva Longoria Parker and Todd English of Olives restaurant fame (the Boston original has an outpost at Bellagio) will bring their Latin-themed steakhouse concept from Hollywood to Vegas when CityCenter debuts. The Hollywood Beso Web site describes the restaurant this way:

Beso takes a Latin approach to classic Steakhouse cuisine, featuring an eclectic and contemporary dinner menu. We proudly offer naturally raised and sustainably farmed Brandt Beef, daily fresh seafood prepared in our wood burning oven, ceviches, flatbreads and seasonal specials.

Mmmmm. Sounds good. While Vegas already has steakhouses a-go-go and some respectable Latin-flavored restaurants (we like Isla at TI and Dos Caminos at the Palazzo), but none we can think of combine these two popular culinary genres.
